Savvycom at Vietnam-Australia ICT Education Showcase 2018
The Vietnam-Australia Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Education Showcase 2018 is offering a platform for Australian and Vietnamese institutions, research and business organizations to exchange expertise and build innovative partnerships.
Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) is partnering with the Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communications to deliver the Vietnam-Australia ICT Education Showcase 2018, promoting Australia’s expertise and capability in information communications technology.
At this event, Ms. Van Dang, CEO of Savvycom, also the Vice President of VNITO Alliance, has joined the panel discussion for innovative solutions to quality human resources in the digital ages in Vietnam.
Seven leading Australian institutions showcased their expertise and excellence in ICT education and training as well as their international projects in this event:
- Box Hill Institute
- Chrisholm Institute
- Deakin University
- Edith Cowan University
- Queensland University of Technology
- The University of New South Wales
- The University of Sydney.
Australia is known for the reputation of high-quality education, research capability, advanced digital economy and strong commitment to innovation and science through the National Innovation and Science Agenda. Those are backed by world-class academic institutions internationally recognised for providing quality ICT education and training and research excellence.
With the fast digital adoption across all sectors in Vietnam, the IT sector is growing rapidly with a focus on hardware, software, e-commerce and IT services. It is expected that Vietnam will require 400,000 IT workers from 2016-2020. As part of its Strategy for Science and Technology Development 2011-2020, the Vietnamese Government is seeking to increase the number of skilled engineers, research organizations, hi-tech incubators and hi-tech enterprise to support this expanding sector.
