My role in the team
My responsibilities area covers a wide range of testing aspects, including test cases (TCs) writing, requirement analysis, testing and QA walkthrough. I am in charge of testing on both Mobile and Web project. Currently, I am working on Jio Health – a big project about health care app for which I am responsible for writing TCs, app testing for doctors and patients on iOS.
Tools I’m familiar with
There are various tools supporting each aspect of testing. For example, we have Jira, Bucktracker and Wrike for bug tracking and Serenity, Quick Test Professional, Appium or Charles proxy for automation testing. However, for me, Serenity is the most favoured tool because it provides detailed test cases, structures your acceptance tests into clear steps. Therefore, test cases are more flexible and easier to maintain. More than that, Serenity generates illustrated and statistical reports showing test results in the most comprehensive way.

The most crucial factor in software testing
I think customers’ requirements analysis would be the best answer because this is the very first stage of testing. Only by conducting customers’ analysis can we identify the customers’ needs and evaluate the feasibility of the system, therefore allowing us to develop the fully-integrated products from customer’s vague ideas. Besides this, excellent communication and writing skills are also in great need in order to write good test cases and bug reports.
For me, software testing is not just a task, it is my passion. My job gives me the satisfaction of bringing the best experience to my clients and users.
