Savvycom at the Grand Opening of Techo International Airport: A Landmark for Cambodia and the Region
At the kind invitation of the Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC), Savvycom was honored to attend the Grand Opening Ceremony of Techo International Airport (TIA), a defining milestone in Cambodia’s journey toward modern aviation and sustainable infrastructure development.
Organized by OCIC and Cambodia Airport Investment Co. (CAIC) under the patronage of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, the ceremony gathered distinguished guests including Neak Oknha Dr. Pung Kheav Se, Chairman of OCIC & CAIC, along with ambassadors and senior officials from France, the U.S., the U.K., Japan, Singapore, and other nations.
A New Gateway to Cambodia and Southeast Asia
Developed by Cambodia Airport Investment Co. (CAIC), a subsidiary of OCIC in joint venture with the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation (SSCA), Techo International Airport represents a uniquely Cambodian achievement in international partnership.
“Techo International Airport will be the first warm welcome many visitors receive in Cambodia, reflecting our hospitality and culture,” said Minea Kim, Chief Executive Officer of the Cambodia Tourism Board. “Cambodia is committed to offering experiences that inspire and delight travelers.”
Currently, the airport operates 31 airlines offering 44 direct connection routes, handling 130 daily aircraft movements and approximately 13,500 passengers per day.
For aircraft servicing, SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC), a subsidiary of the Singapore Airlines Group, has partnered with CAIC to provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services at the new hub, setting a new standard for operational excellence in the region.
