Project Overview
diaB is a mobile companion for people living with type 2 diabetes in Vietnam. Savvycom delivered the product end to end, combining a daily logbook, e-learning, a gamified care plan and online coaching so patients can manage their condition between doctor visits.
About The Client
The client is a Vietnamese medical startup that aims to solve problems for people with type 2 diabetes by raising awareness and knowledge about the disease, and by changing their behavior and lifestyle through online coaching courses.
Challenges
- People with diabetes in Vietnam had very little support or reliable knowledge for managing the disease day to day.
- Online learning and coaching were new to many elderly patients, so every feature had to be simple and easy to follow.
Solutions
Savvycom designed and built diaB around the daily routine of a diabetes patient:
- Logbook: record biological statistics so patients can keep their diabetes in check.
- E-Learning: courses that explain the disease in plain language.
- My Plan: gamified self-improvement with personal goals and milestones.
- Recommended menus designed for people with diabetes.
- Glucose measurement schedule with reminders.
- Profile sharing with doctors through a QR code.
- Coaching: consultations with coaches and group session scheduling.
Results
A 12-person Savvycom team delivered diaB in four months, giving patients one app to track their health, learn about the disease and stay in touch with coaches and doctors.
