Savvycom Joins Vietnam–Australia Business Roundtable on Digital Sector Collaboration
SYDNEY, 10 August 2026 — Savvycom CEO Ms. Van Dang, a member of the Australian Alumni Business Network (AABN) Advisory Board, joined the panel “Opportunities for Collaboration Across Priority Sectors” at a Business Roundtable Meeting hosted by the Australian Industry Group, part of the ASEAN–Australia Innovation Network Program.
Vietnam’s Digital Sector by the Numbers
Representing the Digital sector on the panel, Ms. Van presented an overview of Vietnam’s technology industry: IT sector value added of over USD 41.4 billion, equivalent to around 8% of national GDP, generated by a base of more than 80,000 digital technology companies.
The presentation set this against Australia’s own capability constraints: the country will require more than 230,000 additional tech workers by 2030, following a 3.7% contraction in its tech workforce last year.
“Vietnam is no longer a low-cost outsourcing destination, it is a capability partner,” Ms. Van said, adding that companies such as Savvycom are positioned to work with Australian enterprises across the full project lifecycle, from strategy and roadmapping through to delivery, with AI adoption identified as an area where execution frequently proves harder than ambition.

Two examples were presented to illustrate Vietnamese tech capability supporting Australian growth:
- National Australia Bank (NAB) established the NAB Innovation Centre Vietnam to scale its global software engineering capacity. The center now employs more than 2,400 people across two hubs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, with headcount having doubled since 2023.
- A construction technology company engaged Savvycom as their AI Transformation Partner, covering portfolio assessment, identification of high-value AI opportunities, and a phased implementation roadmap. Following more than 10 months of delivery, the engagement delivered an AI Estimator Platform for automated detection and counting of symbols on drawings to support faster, more accurate take-off and estimation, and an in-app AI Assistant for Accounting and HRM functions offering natural-language search, task support, and contextual guidance.
